Fantastic Charleston Rendezvous

Both Louis and I had a wonderful 4 days in Charleston this past week meeting other "Loopers"! The AGLCA is a superb organization--and we're so proud to be among its many members. Good weather, great people, lots of enthusiasm and energy, pretty boats, and delicious food all made us so happy to be there. We met such fantastic people--who have either completed the Loop, are currently on the Loop, are planing like us to begin in the very near future, or people just in the planning stages. We gained much needed ideas and information--and truly can't wait to get started! We're almost finished closing up our primary residence--what a job! Then we'll head to the boat and complete our "getting ready". We hope to "cast off" sometime @ May 8, 2008. We'll head out of Pellitier Creek, Morehead City early in morning--or on the high tide, as our boat is already heavily laden! "Buddy", our almost 10 year old black Lab, will be on the bow, Louis will be at the helm, and I will be "doing lines". If other Loopers are in the vicinity around that date, give us a shout on the radio. As Morehead City is our home port, we can hopefully help you with most any situation.
